We value our local customers! Our website is simply an extension of the great service we offer in-store. It has been designed to make it easier for you to shop locally and support Impression 5 Science Center’s nonprofit mission with each purchase.

Free gift wrapping and message: During checkout, let us know what you want to say, and we’ll include a handwritten message.

Free local pickup: Place your order online, and we’ll send a confirmation email when it’s ready for pickup.

We know you want your order fast. That’s why we strive to ship most orders stocked in our store within one business day.

Order Processing and Shipping

We’ve worked to create a fast, efficient and fair system for order processing and shipping. We know you want your order quickly and at the lowest possible cost. We select the fastest shipping available regardless of whether a customer has reached the $50 threshold for free shipping. As a result, we will refund shipping costs for anyone who meets this threshold and still opts to pay for shipping. We will confirm that your order has shipped via email, and this confirmation email will include a tracking number with an estimated delivery date.

Which credit cards do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diners Club, SEPA, Sofort, iDEAL, giropay, Alipay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Microsoft Pay.

Can I ship my order to an address different from my billing address?

If you would like your order shipped to an address different from the billing address on your credit card, it’s a good idea to list the alternate address with your credit card company. We can process your order more quickly if you list the address with your credit card company before placing your order. To list the additional shipping address with your credit card company, just call the toll-free number on the back of your card and ask the customer service representative to add the address to the files on your account. This helps prevent fraudulent use of your credit card.

Is my credit card safe?

Our secure server software encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, making the information unreadable as it travels over the Internet. We use the latest security technology available to keep your credit card information safe and private. 

How do you verify my credit card information?

We validate your credit card by checking your personal billing information. We require you to enter the billing information as it appears on your credit card statement into the personal billing section of the order before we authorize your purchase.

When is my credit card charged?

We charge your credit card when we ship the item. If we have to ship items in your order separately, more than one charge may show up on your card. When you place your order, we pre-authorize your credit card to make sure the funds are available. Please note: if you use a debit card, the pre-authorization may look like a debit on your account. We won’t actually debit your account until we ship your order. If we have to cancel your order, the amount of time it takes to credit your account depends on the issuer of your card.

Return and Exchange Policy

Your satisfaction is 100% guaranteed! If you’re not satisfied with your purchase, you may return your item(s) within 31 days. We will issue a refund to the card used for purchase once we’ve received your return. Please contact with any questions.

How to Return an Item

  1. Wrap the package securely. Use the original packing material, if possible. Unless items arrived damaged, all items must be in original condition and packaging to be refunded.
  2. Please fill out the form below to notify us of your intent to return your order. This helps us confirm your order when we receive it in the mail and document your reason for making a return.
  3. Mail the package to our address: 200 Museum Drive, Lansing, MI 48933. Please include the original packing slip or online order number with your return.
  4. Please note that the shipping charges are the responsibility of the person returning the item.
  5. Once we receive your return, we will send confirmation via email.
  6. Your return or exchange will be processed within 1 week after receipt of your package.
  7. We credit the card you used for the order as part of the refund process.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your item arrived with damages or defects, or if you received the wrong item, we want to make it right! Contact us at and we will be happy to walk you through the next steps of the return or exchange process.

Gift Cards

At this time, we do not offer gift cards that are compatible with our online store, but we hope to offer this option in the future! We currently offer gift cards that can be applied to purchases made in our brick and mortar store. These may be purchased here.
